Jonni Cheatwood’s body of work is autobiographical and relies on both his mixed ethnicity and cultural heritage.
It is fair to say that Cheatwood is so involved with his ethnicity that he even got his DNA tested in order to find out his complete genetic tree.
Jonni defines his work as conceptual as it is constructed of gestural movements of action and color blocks of fabric which create together a distinctive interaction.
